The series was filmed over 3 days at Capital Studios. Oasis Media was responsible for production, and appointed a full crew of industry professionals from camera operators, to lighting technicians. A set was custom-built, and studio lighting was designed to ensure that the final production was of the highest broadcast standard. A video title sequence was specially commissioned to include unique graphics and music for TEN.
Michael Metcalf, the senior Director for GMTV, directed the filming. He is considered to be the best 'live-studio' director in the UK, and helped to ensure that the 'live' element of the video was captured just right. Having worked with J.John in the studio, he concluded, "The music, set, editing, lighting and overall production quality is unsurpassed. Combined with the wisdom and quality of J.John's talks and you have something that I believe will enrich your life no matter what your beliefs."
Ten short video clips were made with TV presenter Jacqui Joseph, covering some of the issues raised by each of the Ten Commandments. Street interviews were conducted, as well as location interviews with a number of well-known personalities including: Jonathan Aitken - Former Cabinet Minister; David Laudat - the Spice Girl's vocal coach; Denise Robertson - GMTV's agony aunt and Wendy Granditer - Sugar magazine's agony aunt. Each one commented on how issues raised by a particular commandment had affected their life, or the lives of those around them. For example, in programme 2 entitled 'How to hold to the truth', Jonathan Aitken talks about how he 'didn't see truth as a seamless garment.' Put together, these fast paced, incisive and thought provoking vox pops set the scene for J.John's teaching that follows.
A User-Guide has been written to help individuals maximise the effectiveness of the DVD series whether the series is run at home, in small groups, or in churches - The guide is included in the boxset.

TEN is a DVD series exploring the startling relevance of the Bible's message today. It's ten, 45-minute programmes combine vox pops, interviews and J.John's own compelling and up-to-the-minute take on the Ten Commandments. It is ideal for use in an evangelistic setting, while benefiting both Christians and non-Christians alike.
How would I use it?
The box set comes with a User Guide, which explains how to make the most of TEN - whether at home or in cell groups, in your church or in wider partnership with other churches and organisations. It provides useful pointers and principles to stimulate further discussions alongside the videos.
Those attending the filming were asked how they plan to use the series in their own settings:
- Possibly using the Alpha format of a supper, video and discussion groups.
- For targeting specific groups in the community - e.g. young adults, those in the first 7 years of marriage.
- For evening church services in place of a sermon.
- For youth group discussions - to encourage young people to think about the ten commandments in relation to their life today.
- To show snippets during the "Godslot" at children's club
- For our home group bible studies
- To show them to my non-Christian friends and family.
- As a follow-on to an Alpha course.
