Christians in South-West Hertfordshire are thrilled that this Spring (April - June) J.John will be leading a 10 week "just10" mission in their area. This is very much J.John's "home patch", and the initiative arose as a result of talks between J.John and Gavin Collins, Vicar of Christ Church, Chorleywood and Rural Dean of Rickmansworth.
Gavin had originally contacted J.John with a view of inviting him to speak at a one-off evangelistic event, and in one of those God-ordained "coincidences" Gavin's email arrived at a time when J.John had felt God challenging him from Jesus' commission to the disciples in Acts 1:8. J.John had felt God saying: "You are being my faithful servants in taking the Gospel to 'Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth', but what are you doing to take the Gospel to your 'Jerusalem'?" This challenge from God to minister on the doorstep coincided with a feeling amongst the churches of the area that they were being called to be more strategic and deliberate in taking the Gospel to their communities.
So, as well as the large-scale just10 missions this Spring in Tyneside and Teesside, J.John will be speaking on consecutive Sunday evenings at Christ Church, Chorleywood, with Christians from a dozen or more surrounding churches bringing friends and family to hear the vital news of God's relevance to their lives today.
Organising minister, Gavin Collins, said: "We are thrilled at this opportunity to work together as local churches in partnership with J.John to declare the love of God and his relevance to the world today to so many of our friends, colleagues and neighbours. God may have challenged J.John to reach out to his 'Jerusalem' in this way, but he is certainly calling us also to the privilege of being co-workers with him in this great opportunity to impact our communities with the Good News of Jesus."

The just10 series will run on Sundays for 10 weeks between April 20th and June 22nd 2008

Week 10 - Live by Priorities
It builds on what is happening in local churches.
It provides an opportunity for people to share openly.
It prepares the way for local evangelistic initiatives.
It will provide links between local churches in Hertfordshire.
It has the potential to impact the communities in which we live.
Consecutively each Sunday evening at Christ Church, Chorleywood, J.John will be speaking from April 20th through to June 22nd 2008.
